"I am truly grateful to receive the Orennia Corporate Partnered Scholarship for the 2025-26 academic year. As an engineering student and a varsity athlete, this support will significantly ease financial pressures and allow me to focus more fully on my studies, leadership commitments, and personal growth without the need to take on additional part-time work. Growing up in Alberta shaped my appreciation for the energy industry and its role in supporting communities and opportunities across Canada and inspired my interest in applying technology to help the sector evolve responsibly. Alongside my academic work, I mentor first-year engineering students and rookie athletes as they transition into university life and begin shaping their career paths. This scholarship reinforces my commitment to pursuing a career at the intersection of software and energy, validates the effort I have put into balancing academics, athletics, and service, and motivates me to continue developing skills that can contribute to a more efficient, innovative, and responsible energy sector.
