Careers in Energy Committee

Blair is part of the Careers in Energy Committee. Blair is a P.Eng with APEGA and has had the opportunity to work in various roles in the energy sector both within Canada and Internationally.

Blair started his career journey over 20 years ago as a Field Engineer with Precision Drilling. Since then, he has worked in multiple locations across Alberta, finding roots in Calgary where he turned his direction to Geomechanics. With a focus on Geomechanics, he held a technical role and supported teams within Weatherford Canada. With both technical and field experience, Blair was propelled into the field of Completions where he worked as a member of the Completion Sales and Business Development team.

Blair is a strong supporter of pursuing careers in the energy sector and will never turn down an opportunity to discuss professional growth within the industry.

Blair was raised in Gros Morne, Newfoundland and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining, in addition to, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, both from Dalhousie University. In Blair’s spare time, you can find him at the rink either playing or coaching hockey with his wife and three kids.
