"I am extemely honored and grateful to be the 2024 Stephan V. Benediktson Scholarship Recipient. As a Chemical Engineering student heading into my final year of studies at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, pursuing specializations in energy conversion and nuclear power, a minor in Mathematics, and a diploma in Technology, Management, and Entrepreneurship, I am excited to be involved in the Canadian Energy Industry following my graduation. I want to express my gratitude to the SPE Canadian Education Fund, as well as Mr. Stephan V. Benediktson, for honoring me with this award and recognizing my efforts over the past few years as a student leader, as well as for contributing to the incoming generation of engineers through their scholarships. 

Receiving this award will allow to finish my degree without financial stress, ensuring that I can excel in my educational pursuits and continue to participate in extracurricular activities. Being able to pursue a career in the Energy Industry is a lifelong dream of mine, and I cannot wait to gain more experience in and exposure to the innovation happening here in Canada. I am passionate about increasing the sustainability within the industry, and I hope to be able to contribute to innovative technologies, green and sustainable development, and the energy transition. I hope to continue to be involved with SPE, and look forward to the opportunites that I will have access to as a student member for the remainder of my degree."
