"I am proud to be the recipient of the 2020 SPECEF Scholarship. This prestigious award has helped me build out my resume and further my professional training and certification goals towards a future career development in the Energy Industry.
I am a Ph.D. student at Memorial University of Newfoundland and a part-time Engineer Intern at C-CORE, developing advanced ice island dynamics/deterioration models to support the offshore oil & gas operations and shipping activities in the eastern Canadian waters. I hold a M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Memorial University, where I have worked on the modeling of multiphase flows in subsea pipelines. I was awarded the title “Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies” in recognition of my outstanding achievements throughout my Master's program, and recently the Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship, Canada’s premiere research internship program, to study the industrial applications of my Ph.D. research."
