Ramez Hanna Alla
Finance & Fundraising Committee
Ramez is a member of the 2022-2023 Finance & Fundraising team, and the Production Supervisor for Chevron’s Kaybob Duvernay program, based in Whitecourt, Alberta. Ramez has 11 years in conventional and unconventional gas/liquids plays across the WCSB in roles focused on upstream development and execution. He is a Schulich Scholar with a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Calgary and a specialization in Energy and the Environment. Ramez has spent over 16 years of his life volunteering for organizations focused on people development including Engineers Without Borders, Big Brothers Big Sisters, SPE, APEGA, WPC and is constantly in search of opportunities to push outside his comfort zone, meet new people and learn new skills. He was humbled with Alberta Oil’s Inaugural top 35 under 35 award and has led the SPE Calgary section and young professionals to international recognitions.
Ramez has finally realized that his hobby is ‘people’ (not in a Hannibal Lecter kind of way). He loves spending his time volunteering, mentoring and meeting/learning from all kinds of people. He is amazed by what people can do for each other and what we can achieve as a collective group. In his spare time, he likes to pretend to build classic cars, golf, kayak, mountain bike and workout to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Comedy is his favorite movie/tv genre and he makes a point of finding a local comedy club wherever he travels.
