"When I first heard about this award, I thought about applying but that I might not have any chance to win a scholarship. Then, I decided to give it a try and participate no matter what the result was since I have put a lot of effort through my professional and student life, and hence it was worth it at least to try. Being awarded this great distinction is very special to me, firstly, because it was unexpected. And secondly, it rewards the hard time to keep the motivation up, meet expectations and work in isolation during the last couple of years. This scholarship will benefit my research project development and continuation since the funding allowed is limited, and the work needed is still considerable. Additionally, it will support the publication of my work and main findings, so they are shared with the technical community."
